If you’ve been searching for a meaningful team-building exercise that also gives back to the community, don’t ride past this bike-building event.
Build a Bike takes team building up a gear, with a morning or afternoon of bike building and hands-on challenges.
Breaking into at least two groups, your team members will compete against each other in a series of games centred around design and engineering before tinkering away at a kit bike which will later be donated to a local family or a charity of your choice.
With bikes for both children and adults, this means giving the gift of learning to ride, or providing much-needed affordable transport to and from work or studies.
This very literal interpretation of team building is both rewarding and challenging, and relies on teamwork and coming together to achieve a common goal.
We steer away from awkward ice-breakers and instead use hands-on construction challenges like building free-standing towers, creating a pulley system, and piecing together a giant puzzle to help everyone’s natural strengths organically shine through.
The final challenge of the day is the one you’ve all been waiting for - building the bikes! We’ll include two bike making kits in your event package, but you can always add more to pump up the fun.
